Facilitators - Workplace Harassment Violence Prevention Training


Organization: Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development (OCEPD) at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI)


Location: Remote (All Canadian provinces and territories)


Position Type: Contract, as-needed basis

The Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development (OCEPD) at UPEI is actively seeking dynamic and engaging individuals to join our team of Trainers and Facilitators. Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering Train-The-Trainer and Workplace Harassment Violence Prevention Training (WHVPT) to federal employees in Canada, particularly those in marine shipping, port/ferry services, air transportation, road and railway transportation, as well as bridges, pipelines, or tunnels that cross provincial borders.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver Training Sessions:

  • Utilize provided presentations and guidebooks to deliver engaging and informative sessions.
  • Conduct training sessions online via live sessions to participants across Canada.


Preparation and Availability:

  • Be available online or in-person at least 30 minutes prior to and after the session start time.
  • Ensure all materials are prepared and available at least 24 hours prior to the session start time.


Attendance Tracking:

  • Track attendance for all training sessions and report to the Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development.


Feedback and Evaluation:

  • Provide constructive feedback to the Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development regarding engagement, ease of use of materials, and the overall success of the program.
  • Administer quizzes following the facilitation of Workplace Harassment and Violence Prevention Training for employees.

Qualifications

 Required:

  • Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma program.
  • Demonstrated proficiencies in public speaking and/or training/facilitating sessions online and in-person.

Preferred:

  • A certificate in adult education would be considered an asset.
  • Experience facilitating or training in a virtual environment, with the ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Priority may be given to bilingual applicants as training will be delivered in both official languages of Canada.
